What the union office holds

Separately from this website, the office maintains the membership register — name, service details, contact number, email, posting and district unit — together with anything you send it by email, WhatsApp, post or in person.

Why the office holds it

To maintain the membership register, to verify eligibility, to represent members before the department, and to send circulars and notices.

Who can see it

Authorised state office staff and the secretary of your own district unit. Member contact details are not published on the public website without consent.

Retention

Member records are retained for the duration of membership and thereafter as required by the bye-laws and applicable law.

Your rights

You may request correction of your record at any time through your district unit or the state office.
